I am a designer who believes that design can be a very powerful tool and medium. Design should be a community of collaboration, a platform not only about design but also about ecosystems. I am interested in the intersection of design, the public and private sectors in order to improve the built environment and people’s lives. I would like to utilize my design skills, entrepreneurial spirit to create opportunities for people to make money. I am interested in disruptive economies and how land and buildings can be used to generate profit. The problem-solving techniques used by architects and designers are relevant solving all sorts of problems in areas such as business, government, education, and community leadership.
David Kelley, CEO and Founder of IDEO, says:”Thinking like a designer can transform the way organizations develop products, services, processes and strategy. This approach which IDEO calls design thinking brings together what is desirable from a human point of view with what is technologically feasible and economically viable. Design thinking is a deeply human process that taps into abilities we all have but get overlooked by more conventional problem-solving practices. “
